Katerina Koutsogianni  was born in Heraklion, Crete, where she lives today. She had been working for 27 years at the Department of Foreign Trade of the National Bank of Greece. In 2003, Mrs Koutsogianni, as a patient with rheumatoid arthritis from a very young age, in cooperation with other patients with rheumatic diseases, founded the Association of Patients with Rheumatic disease of Crete, where she was elected as President for three consecutive terms.

She is active in the area of ​​patient organizations with rheumatic diseases both in Greece and abroad, enriching her experience with participation in international conferences and seminars. She contributes to the development of the activities of the Association to raise awareness for the state of the seriousness of rheumatic diseases.

Steering Committee Κathi Apostolidis Κathi Apostolidis chairs DE.DI.DI.KA., the Intergroup Committee for Cancer Patient Rights Adovacy, bringing together 25 cancer patient organizations from all over Greece. DE.DI.DI.KA. is the Greek cancer patients voice on cancer patient rights and health and cancer care, as well as survivorship policy issues on both the national and European level.
Steering Committee Joanna Grekou Joanna Grekou has survived cancer for the past 20. She is, also, the writer of the book "An evil angel kissed me on the chest" (Alexandria publications 2006). She is vice president of the board of the Panhellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer "Alma Zois" and an active volunteer.
Steering Committee Zoe Grammatoglou In 1993 she fell ill with breast cancer and that was the starting point for her volunteer work and offer. Since 2004 she is a founding member of the Association and at the present she is the Chairman of the Board.
Steering Committee Nikos Dedes Nikos Dedes is a founding member and president of "Positive Voice", the association of people living with HIV in Greece. He is a former president of the European AIDS Treatment Group (EATG) and former coordinator of the Patient and Consumer Commission of the European Medicines Agency.
Steering Committee Giannis Theodorakis Giannis Ap. Theodorakis is Graduate Surveyor Engineer and served as Chairman of the Delegation of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) from 2004 until 2014. From 2004 to 2009 he served as a special consultant for the Secretary General of Social Insurance of the Ministry of Employment and Social Protection.
Steering Committee George Kalamitsis George Kalamitsis is founding member and President of the Hellenic Liver Patient Association “Prometheus”.
Steering Committee Manio Korleti Manio Korleti has been a Board Member of AgaliaZO for many years. Since 2011 she has been the Vice President of Volunteer Group Against Cancer and in charge of the Advocacy Program & Bidding Rights for cancer patients.

Steering Committee Marianna Labrou She raised her daughter Katerina (who was born with the rare disease Tuberous Sclerosis) alone. This fact, in combination with the innate desire to address issues of social solidarity, was the stimulus for the systematic employment and creation of the Greek Society for Tuberous sclerosis in 1989 first, and then the National Alliance of Rare Diseases (PESPA) in 2003. She is President of the foundation and the two organizations.
Steering Committee Giannis Levidiotis As a parent of patient with Thalassemia, Giannis Levidiotis has been dealing with issues concerning thalassemia for 35 years. In 1986, along with other patients and parents, they proceeded to the establishment of their Association where he took active part as a Member of the Board.
Steering Committee Christos Lionis Christos Lionis is a Professor of General Medicine and Primary Care at the faculty of Medicine at the University of Crete. He is Director of Clinical Social and Family Medicine at the faculty of Medicine and the University Hospital of Heraklion.
Steering Committee Konstantinos Loumos He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece. He served for 8 years as Councillor in Nafplio with different responsibilities. He is a member of the Society "Calypso" from February 2010 and serves as president by July 2012.
Steering Committee Aggeliki Preftitsi Aggeliki Preftitsi was born in Florina and raised in Serres, where she practices law over the last fifteen years. She has been a patient with Cystic Fibrosis and since 2005 she is president of the Association for Cystic Fibrosis, the first club established at the initiative of adult patients with headquarters in Thessaloniki and members throughout Greece.
Steering Committee Magda Tsolaki She is Professor of Neurology since 2010, Neuropsychiatrist since 1983, and she has worked at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki since 1982. She was one of the three advisory members for 16 doctora theses. She has created the Greek Alzheimer Association in 1995 and she is chair of Greek Federation of Alzheimer’s Disease since 2007, with 241 lectures, TV and radio programs all over Greece.
